Things are about as murky as they can get in the west. With very little separating last place Illinois from first place Minnesota. The Formula says that the West is WIDE OPEN, and any of the 7 teams could win that West division crown. Diverting vastly from the formula. We have Ohio St beating Michigan and thus winning the East and beating the West in the Conference championship, but by virtue of their loss to OU, missing out on the Playoffs. SF has Iowa winning the 3 way tie-breaker between Wisconsin and Nebraska to win the West crown.
